The “Enough” Original Carving by Marina Cole, owner of Chainsaw Spirit.
For our 2025 Bread & Roses Gala Marina carved and donated this beautiful and meaningful sculpture for us to have in our live auction.
“Chainsaw carver Marina Cole has sculpted a figure that symbolizes gaining strength to break the chains that hold one in an abusive situation. Cole, owner of Chainsaw Spirit in Irvine, said that she likes to get a lot of expression out of her pieces to tell a story. “It represents a time in their life when they finally have gotten to a point where they said, ‘This isn’t right, this is wrong’” she said. “They may not feel whole, they don’t feel like themselves, they realize that they lose themselves in the relationship,” she added “Yet they still have that strength to finally break that chain that’s been holding them down and tearing them apart, and that’s what I wanted it to symbolize.”
